In Pokémon GO, there’s a handy tool called the appraisal feature that helps players understand how strong their Pokémon are. This feature looks at three important parts of a Pokémon: Attack, Defense, and HP (which is short for Health Points).
When you use the appraisal feature, it shows you how good your Pokémon is in each of these three areas. It also gives you a star rating so you can quickly see how strong your Pokémon is overall. It’s interesting to know that even if you catch two Pokémon of the same kind, they might have different strengths and weaknesses. The best Pokémon, with top scores in all areas, are called ‘hundos’ and have a special place in your game. On the other hand, a Pokémon with no good scores in any area is called a ‘nundo’, and it’s quite rare.
These scores are really important for battles. The Attack score tells you how much damage your Pokémon can do. The Defense score shows how well your Pokémon can take hits from others. And the HP score is about how long your Pokémon can last in a fight. There’s also something special about Shadow Pokémon – when you purify them, their scores get better.
Knowing all this is really useful when you’re deciding which Pokémon to use for battles, especially in the Battle League. Sometimes, you might want a Pokémon that’s really tough and can last a long time in a fight, rather than one that just has a high Attack score.
