Baldur’s Gate 3, the latest video game based on the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop RPG, doesn’t have an Xbox release date. Larian Studios announced long ago that the PlayStation 5 version was on the way, but has now clarified on its plans for an Xbox version.
Larian wants to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox Series S and X. In the latest Baldur’s Gate 3 blog post, developers confirmed that they are still working on support for Xbox Series X and S, with S being the console holding things back for now. It isn’t finished, so there isn’t an exact release date for it yet like there is for PlayStation 5.
“We’ve said before that our goal is to bring our games to as many platforms as possible,” reads the blog. “We’re optimistic about Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Xbox Series X, but in order to announce and release the game on Xbox, we need to ensure that the game is performing without compromise across the entire Xbox X|S ecosystem, in multiplayer and with split-screen.”
